Glad to hear back from you. Way to go on the big-ol' IM! And supporting yourselves as well. Wow.

I have to admit I didn't know you had started recording podcasts after the big hiatus. I bought a new computer in January and didn't think to subscribe as I thought you may have "podfaded". So glad to see you have three in the can for me to catch up on. I'll listen to the first one tomorrow at dawn, riding my bike on the Mississippi River levee.

I really pysched to listen. Welcome back (belatedly), and I'm sorry I didn't keep the faith.

'Self-supported' IM training camp this past weekend in Lake Placid. A big group of us from my tri club all completed the 112 mile bike course, swim course, and half marathon all carrying our own fuel and water. Just had to stop a couple times on the bike to re-fuel. It was AWESOME!

Cara,

I am a fan of you In .Transit girls, and just wanted to say hello. I live and train in New Orleans, and frequently listen to your shows during long runs.

I decided to say hello when I say your job: very cool! My wife is a PhD student at Tulane in International Health, and my Bachelor's is part Public Health, so I know a little about Epi, too. I sometimes fantasize about working for the EIS (I'm a physician assistant), but am too lazy to be a father, train for triathlon, and also work on my MPH, so I'll just keep doing what I do for awhile.

Anyway, I just wanted to sat I'm stoked about your stellar podcast, and keep up the good work.

Just listened to your last show. Cool. Nice to hear both of you together again. Wanted to point some stuff out that pertains to your last show. Yup IM is USAT sanctioned. The 3 minute penalty was just something I imposed on myself. Totally made up. I did not get a yellow flag. Just Triboomer. I caused it though. He had to report to penalty tent, sign in and leave. No time frame imposed on him. For me, I just pulled over at the tent to "impose" those minutes on myself. Just cause I felt bad about it. This was at mile 40. The short break was kinda nice though ;)
